Aims, contents and method of the course

Anlegen eines Datenfile mit SPSS (Datenerfassung); Datenvorbereitung, -aufbereitung und -bereinigung; Rekodieren und Generieren von Variablen; Linearauszählung; Grafiken; Kreuztabellierung als ein Werkzeug der Kausalanalyse; die gebräuchlichsten Assoziationskoeffizienten bei Kontingenztabellen und ihre Interpretation; Signifikanztests und ihre Interpretation bei Kreuztabellen. Die Lehrveranstaltung ist mit der Übung "Statistik 2" koordiniert.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Einführung in die tabellarische Datenaufbereitung und -auswertung (von der Linearauszählung bis zur multivariaten Tabellenanalyse: Einführung von Drittvariablen bei der Kreuztabellenanalyse) bzw. Vermittlung eines Grundverständnisses für die Analyse von Survey-Daten. Elementare Einführung in das Statistik-Programm SPSS

Examination topics

Praktische Übungen am PC anhand eines eigenen Datensatzes und von exemplarischen Datensätzen (Sekundäranalysen).
