Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course various facets of quality of work will be studied during two semesters. It will be an expedition to different and more or less known worlds of work and occupational milieus. In a first step texts will be used to work on the state-of-the-art regarding central aspects of quality of work (income and employment security, interrelation of work and life, subject and recognition). A secondary analysis of datasets will provide different clusters which will form the basis of a qualitative survey with a mix of methods (expert interview, observation, problem centred interview, group discussion). The quality of work in different occupational milieus will be analysed taking a comparative approach.
