Aims, contents and method of the course
Diese Lehrveranstaltung versteht sich als Einführung in die "Politische Ökonomie". Der Begriff Politische Ökonomie bezeichnet in der Literatur unterschiedliche Ansätze, wird hier jedoch sehr weit gefasst. Das Interesse gilt den komplexen Wechselwirkungen von Politik und Wirtschaft - zwei voneinander keineswegs unabhängige Systeme - und der Rolle von Diskursen und Ideen in der Formgebung politischer und wirtschaftlicher Strukturen und Strategien.

regelmäßige Teilnahme (physische Anwesenheit und Mitarbeit), Lektüre ausgewählter (vorwiegend englischsprachiger) Texte in Vorbereitung auf das Seminar, Referate, Verfassung einer Seminararbeit am Ende des Semester
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Anhand kritischer Auseinandersetzung soll die in den wissenschaftlichen Disziplinen konventionell gezogene Grenze zwischen Politik und Wirtschaft zusehends aufgeweicht und ein Stück weit auch als arbiträr verstanden werden. Außerdem beschäftigen wir uns mit analytischen Kontroversen wie z.B. der Agent-Struktur-Debatte. Ziel ist es, eine umfassende politisch-ökonomische Perspektive für die Analyse (komplexer) politischer und wirtschaftlicher Prozesse zu entwickeln.
