Aims, contents and method of the course
Working with data collected by students themselves, the course offers a practically oriented introduction to important steps in the process of data analysis: necessary preparatory steps, simple statistical methods, and presentation of findings. Continuation of the course Data Collection (230106, winter term 2008/2009).
Assessment and permitted materials
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students shall become acquainted with important steps to ensure data quality, get to know potential sources of error, and learn to independently apply simple statistical methods
Examination topics
Individual assignments, independent working in small groups, presentation of intermediate and final findings, written report, annotated glossary
