Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of this seminar is to research about the (super)rich in Vienna. Till now, the inequlity studies have focused on poverty and there exist few researches on the dynamic and structure of wealth in cities which is also true for Vienna. In this course, we will investigate the social inequlity from the viewpoint of dynamic of poverty and wealth.
In addition to the theoretical basics of wealth with a focus on the super-rich, the course offers the opportunity to carry out your own research. The most important aspects are visuality, consumption patterns and spatial structure of richness (prosperity map).
