Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Im ersten Teil der Lehrveranstaltung werden grundlegende Konzepte und Theorien der soziologischen, ökonomischen und demographischen Migrationsforschung vorgestellt und diskutiert. Im Mittelpunkt stehen dabei unterschiedliche, auch historisch variierende Typen des Migrationsgeschehens (u.a. Arbeitsmigration, transnationale Migration, Rückkehrmigration). Der Fokus liegt insbesondere auf neuen Zuwanderungsformen in Österreich (z.B. Ost-West Migration, Mobilität von Hochqualifizierten, zirkuläre Migration). Aufbauend auf diesen theoretischen Grundlagen sollen die TeilnehmerInnen eine eigenständige empirische Arbeit anfertigen. Sowohl qualitative als auch quantitative Methoden können zum Einsatz kommen.

- 1 Präsentation eines Sekundärtexts zum Themengebiet der jeweiligen Einheit (á 15min)
- 1 Essay (konzeptionell/theoretisch) (3-5 Seiten)
- Erstellen eines Forschungsdesigns in Kleingruppen (max. 3 Personen)
- Präsentation des Forschungsdesigns
- 1 Präsentation eines Sekundärtexts zum Themengebiet der jeweiligen Einheit (á 15min)
- 1 Essay (konzeptionell/theoretisch) (3-5 Seiten)
- Erstellen eines Forschungsdesigns in Kleingruppen (max. 3 Personen)
