Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Technischer Fortschritt und Rationalisierung galten über lange Zeit als ungebroche Werte moderner Gesellschaftsentwicklung. So argumentierte (noch) Max Weber, dass Emotionen beim modernen Menschen einer Affektkontrolle zum Opfer fallen würden. Der "Homo Oeconomicus" scheint in postindustriellen Dienstleistungsgesellschaften allerdings vom "Aufstieg des Homo Sentimentalis"(Eva Illouz) überholt worden zu sein...Das theoretische Werkzeug, welches die LV für die Analyse gesellschaftlicher Diagnosen und Trends zur Verfügung stellt, speist sich aus den Theoriefeldern von Emotionssoziologie, Subjektkritik und cognitven Kapitalismus.

Textlektüre, Anwesenheit, Mitarbeit, Referat oder alternativ eine kurze schriftliche Arbeit.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Ziel ist es grundlegende Begriffe/Konzepte/Debatten von Arbeit, Emotion und Subjektivierung in unterschiedlichen sozial- und kulturwissenschaftlichen Theorieansätzen zu kennen und Analysen gegenwärtiger Gesellschaftsentwicklungen und Trends weiterzutreiben, die soziologische Kritikfähigkeit weiterzuspinnen...
