Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The social structure research is one of the core disciplines in sociology. The main topic of the research is the analysis of the unequal distribution of resources and the resulting differences in the life situation of the members of modern societies. In this seminar basic theoretical as well as central empirical studies will be discussed systematically. The focus of the seminar will be on theories, which are centred around class, stratum and milieu. Thus, links, explanatory power and scope of application of those concepts can be analysed.
