4. The economic dimension of cities: Industrialization, Urbanization, Globalization
5. The spatial dimension of cities: Durkheim, Simmel, Chicago School
6. The spactial dimension of cities: Poverty, Segregation
7. The spactial dimension of cities: Gentrification, Social Mix
8. Sustainable cities: concepts, methods, policies, Smart City and resilience
9. The political dimension of cities: Governance, state rescaling, inclusion and exclusion, welfare systems, bottom up participation
10. European and North-American cities: contrasting views of the urban
11. Methodology: quantitative and qualitative approaches, Urban Ethnography, dissimilartiy index
