Aims, contents and method of the course

Die Vorlesung gibt einen Überblick über die Entwicklungen zur modernen Gesellschaft, thematisiert die großen gesellschaftlichen "Revolutionen" - Sesshaftigkeit, Industrialisierung, die Entwicklung zur Informationsgesellschaft - und führt in soziologische Grundkonzepte ein. Es werden die Thematiken Sozialisation und Soziale Abweichung, das Problem sozialer Schichtung, Mobilität und Ungleichheit in vergleichender Perspektive (Europa) ausführlich behandelt, außerdem werden Hauptprobleme des Lebensbereichs Familie besprochen.
