Aims, contents and method of the course

Einführung in Konzepte und Methoden der quantitativen Netzwerkanalyse als Instrument zur Erfassung sozialer Strukturen.

Die Studierenden sollen einen Einblick in das netzwerkanalytische Denken und in die fachspezifischen Methoden erhalten.

Examination topics

Im Vorlesungsteil werden die konzeptionellen Aspekte der Netzwerkanalyse diskutiert. Der Übungsteil dient der Erprobung und Umsetzung netzwerkanalytischer Zugänge anhand bereits vorhandener wie auch neu zu kreierender Datensätze. Dafür wird einschlägige Software verwendet. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Analyse von Gesamtnetzwerken.
