Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Business aspects of different stages of a company (start-up, expansion/management, succession) should be analysed with a sociological perspective. For a selection, the course concentrates on operational functions (such as human resources, finance, accounting, management, marketing, production and legal forms) and the environmental relationships (towards customers, suppliers, state).

The aim is to gain basic knowledge of business administration and to develop an understanding of the role companies play in the overall social system, both for the people involved and for the environment. Due to the knowledge of the basic functioning of firms a later activity in a company should be facilitated.

The course is constructed as a lecture, through dialogue and discussions play a decisive role.
