Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the course is to provide the students with the basic skills to structure and organize a scientific manuscript (e.g., master thesis, journal article, etc.).
At the beginning of the course the students are requested to choose a research question/topic they would like to read and write about for the rest of the course. If a student does not have a research topic of interest, the lecturer will assign one.
It is strongly advised to come to the first class with a research topic in mind.
The main topics addressed during the course will be: critical reading, paraphrasing, structural features of English research papers, tips to write an abstract, literature review section of a scientific manuscript. The course is interactive, and active participation of students is expected.
The course will be in digital format, and the Moodle platform will be used.
