Aims, contents and method of the course

Anhand von PISA Daten werden bivarate und multivariate Analyseverfahren (wie z.B. Hauptkomponentenanalyse, Faktorenanalyse, Regression) theoretisch vorgestellt und praktisch umgesetzt. Die Teilnehmenden an der Lehrveranstaltung formulieren eine Forschungsproblem, das nach Möglichkeit mit unterschiedlichen Verfahren behandelt wird. Besonderes Augenmerk wird auf die inhaltliche Interpretation der Ergebnisse gelegt. Die Analyse wird mit SPSS durchgeführt.
Für die Teilnahme an der Lehrveranstaltung sind Grundkenntnisse der Statistik hilfreich.

Voraussetzung für Zeugnis: aktive Mitarbeit in der Lehrveranstaltung, Präsentation und Seminararbeit

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziel der Lehrveranstaltung ist es, ausgewählte multivariate Analysemethoden durch die Arbeit an konkreten Beispielen nachvollziehbar und verständlich zu machen.

Examination topics

Die Lehrveranstaltung umfasst theoretische Inputs, praktische Übungen und Diskussionen im Plenum.
