Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
An increasing number of sociologists, which were involved in fields of job-integration has become obviously in the past decades. Especially Viennese organisations for youth people with so called "integrational problems" (e. g. : WAFF, Wienwork, WUK Monopoly, ... ) employed sociologists as counsellors. The field shows a variety of conflicts between macrosocial structures and microanalytic interaction, which are focussed in this course. Characteristica of the field and concrete strategies to cope with them build the themes in the discussion.
Assessment and permitted materials
Students take place in the excursion, they develop a systematic paper and make a concrete fieldresearch in groups.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The variety of the field and its macrostructural conflicts should be analyzed so sociologists can orientate as (potential) workers in the context of programmatical concept-development and organisational research.
Examination topics
Group Excursions, Expert-Interviews, Analysis of Concept Papers and "Mission Statements"
