Aims, contents and method of the course

In this seminar you will acquire practical skills for organizing your research within the field of STS. This includes doing literature research and reviews, organizing and archiving your data and literature, writing seminar papers, preparing presentations for different audiences and purposes, and working and writing collaboratively.

To allow you to move into STS research in a reflexive way, you will get insights into research practice both from a theoretical and a practical perspective. On the one hand we will discuss the respective issues critically, paying special attention to ethical issues involved; and on the other hand we will talk about practical challenges and try out different tools and techniques to address them. In this, we will continuously reflect on the consequences of both for your own research and writing of a Master’s thesis.
