Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Der Leistungsnachweis setzt sich aus verschiedenen Einzelleistungen zusammen, die am Beginn der LV festgelegt werden.
1. Präsentation einer Fallstudie: Die Fallstudie kann in jedem Format (Powerpoint, Poster, Video, schriftliche Arbeit, etc.) vorgelegt werden. Sie soll eine Falldarstellung enthalten und Aspekte des End-of-life decision-makings von sterbenden PatientInnenen, Beteiligung von Familienmitgliedern, Palliative Care Interventionen oder eine Reflexion der Rolle der Pflege (StudentInnen) thematisieren.
2. Essay mit einem reflektierenden Element in Bezug auf die Sorge am Ende des Lebens und die Unterstützung der Familienmitglieder (max 2000 Wörter).

Reflektieren auf klinische Fallstudien von sterbenden Patientinnen im klinischen SettingInhalte
Übergeordnet bezieht sich die Inhalte der Lehrveranstaltung auf die Einschränkungen der Behandlungsmöglichkeiten, Abbruch der Behandlung, die Entscheidungsprozesse und pflegerische Unterstützungen am Ende des Lebens. Prozessen des End-of-Life decision-makings inklusive der Einbeziehungen von Angehörigen und Bezugspersonen werden diskutiert. Modelle aus Palliative Care werden vorgestellt und Interventionen um eine optimale Pflege und Wohlbefinden am Lebensende zu bieten, werden erkundet. Die Beteiligung von Pflegepersonal in schwierigen Entscheidungen und Palliative Care wird debattiert.Methoden
Die Lehrveranstaltung ist als prüfungsimmanente LV konzipiert
Der Kurs erfordert Vorbereitungsarbeiten durch die Studierenden. Fachliteratur wird durch der Kursleiter zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Methode an den Präsenztagen sind Vorträge, Gruppenarbeiten, Selbststudien und (online) Tutorials.
