Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The focus of this class is the examination of development theories and their history, from the growth and modernization theories of the 1940s to the post-development approaches of the recent past. The concepts and central terms of the respective schools of thought will be elaborated. Reading of basic texts and in-depth discussion of the respective approaches are planned.
