Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Written exam. Examinable material will be from lectures and course readings. No learning materials are permitted during the exam.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
A passing grade is a minimum of 60/100 possible points. Grading scale:
1 (very good): 90–100 points
2 (good): 80–89 points
3 (satisfactory): 70–79 points
4 (sufficient): 60–69 points
5 (insufficient): 0–59 points

The exam will evaluate knowledge of the following areas:
1) Familiarity with basic historical and contemporary trends in the anthropology of gender and sexuality;
2) Basic knowledge of specialised discussions in queer and feminist anthropology;

2) The treatment of special topics, such as feminist ethnography and theories, queer anthropological approaches, and intersectional analysis that addresses gender/sexuality and other categories of difference;
3) The discussion of contemporary aspects of sexual and gender diversity politics at the global level, with particular attention to transnationalism.Lecture with student participation in discussion.The course is supported by an accompanying tutorial.
