How is gender redefined in the context of current social developments? How are gender relations currently being reformed? Based on these questions, the seminar offers an overview of current transformation processes of the "holy trinity of domination" of capitalism, patriarchy and white supremacy.
At the center of the SE is the link between neoliberalism, authoritarianism and militarization, which is analysed with a focus on gender/gender relations from a materialist and post-structuralist perspective in order to make the material and discursive dimensions of current social developments and the associated gendering processes in Europe, especially in Austria, tangible. Methods
Oral: text discussion, working groups, (short) presentations.
Written: questions on the basic literature, development of the research question for the seminar paper, seminar paper.
