Aims, contents and method of the course

Donna Harraway: Unruhig bleiben
In the reading seminar on Donna Harraway, basic concepts of feminist, materialist theory and politics will be traced and updated in prepared, collective reading along the lines of Harraway's books (in particular: Staying Restless). Donna Haraway explores the practices of good living and dying on a very damaged planet. Her poetic language in connection with her manifold scientific, materialistic, situated knowledge is used in the seminar to practice a scientific practice that questions the limits of epistemes as well as the rigidity of identitarian closed fantasies.

Acquisition of competence in dealing with difficult texts, collective reading, examination of essential feminist, social and scientific theoretical concepts.
