Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ziel ist die Vermittlung von Grundlagen der quantitativen Forschung. Der Schwerpunkt liegt bei der Behandlung historischer Themen mittels deskriptiver Statistik. Als Beispiel dienen u.a. Daten zum transatlantischen Sklavenhandel.

Inhalte:
Theorieteil (10 Einheiten): Grundlagen der quantitativen Methoden, Erhebungsmethoden, Uni- und bivariate Statistik, Graphische Darstellungen, Grundlagen der Regressionsanalyse
Praxisteil (5 Einheiten): Deskriptive Statistik mit Excel

Vortrag mit Diskussion
Selbstständiges Lösen von Aufgaben durch Studierende
Präsentationen durch Studierende im Plenum

Assessment and permitted materials

Mitarbeit und Aufgaben während des Semesters (30%)
Test nach Ende des Theorieteils (35%)
Abschlussprojekt (35%)

Positive Beurteilung bei mindestens 50%
