Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This short course traces changes in the form and content of ethnographic texts since the 1980s, and considers changes in the present and near future of ethnographic writing and representation: the viability of ethnographic texts and reports, alternatives and supplements to them given changing information technologies. What has become of the 'reflexive' turn introduced in the 1980s, and the 'interpretive' turn before it? Is critique a sufficient rationale and framework for ethnographic writing today?
