Aims, contents and method of the course

Artificial reproduction and eugenics in practice and theory, past and present. Artificial reproductive technologies at first include everybody, in order to subsequently exclude more and more individuals, who do not meet the standard of healthy, efficient and fit people. In absence of agency artificial reproductive technologies do not imply any alternative.

Aims / Questions to ask

-To what extent do artificial reproductive technologies imply an increase of self-determination and options for action?

-Which rights and duties result from the new medical possibilities for women, doctors and embryos?

-Do artificial reproductive technologies at first include more and more women and men in order to afterwards exclude some of them because of certain genetic diagnoses?
