Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this seminar we will deal with a range of texts by one of the most important contemporary gender theorists, Judith Butler. The selected texts will first make the participants familiar with concepts crucial to Butlers work and Gender Studies such as sex and gender, experience and identity, body and performativity, power and agency. We will then read some of Butlers most recent texts concerned with the "Undoing" of normative notions of gender.
