Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

There are many challenges for the EU Commission to define a new Development Policy. The coordination of the new Commission, the MFF (Multianual Financial Framework) and the Green Deal are the framework of the development policy. The negotiation of the treaty between the EU and the ACP-Countries, the implementation of the SDGs, the new alliance for Africa, the instruments and budgt lines of the new MFF as well as the Green Deal are some important issues. We will look at the most important strategies and documents of the EU and we will discuss these papers in order to find out how they influence the EU development policy. Students should be enabled to understand EU development policy in the context of the discourse of the future of Europe.
