- Cultural Heritage- A New Humanism for the South?

2.) Heritage Choice / Heritage Regimes

The question of what 'cultural heritage' might be is closely related to social negotiations which are oriented towards group interests. The title of 'world heritage' is the final legitimation of a certain choice from the field of material /immaterial culture. But in whose name declares one group something as being 'cultural heritage'? What about the recognition of cultural products of ethnic groups which might not have political representation in a nation? The strategies employed in the determination of cultural heritage are not autonomous, rather the participation of hegemony in the process of heritagization is immanent.

3.) Performing Heritage / Narrating Heritage

Selective introduction to socio-cultural practices of memories and performing memory with special focus on the so called 'negative heritage' (Violence, Slavery, etc.)

- Oral History
