Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Identify triggers for potentially violent gender relations.
Consider different forms of violence in light of different approaches and how different perspectives benefit from each other.
Identify differences and links between contextual gender-based violence, gender-based violent behavior, and structural perspectives
View manifestations of violence in the internal logic and complexity of different approaches and reflect on them against the background of historically developed power relations
Use basic understanding of non-violent communication for critical thinking.
Viewing and reflecting on the role(s) of victims and perpetrators in a feminist, queer and intersectional framework.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular and active participation, presentation group, writing a position paper and keeping a double-entry journal.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The basic requirement for a positive grade is regular attendance with a maximum of two unexcused absences. From 60% the course is positively completed, the remaining grades result from 10% increments.
