Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course provides students with basic information about the anthropology programmes in Anthropology at the University of Vienna. After some basic introductions into the structure and aims of the program, the supervisors will introduce themselves and present their research interests. Based on their research projects, they will detail the process of conducting their research, from planning to implementation and data processing. Through the lectures and the reading of related compulsory literature, the students will explore a wide range of topics with special attention to the foci area of research in Vienna. The various units will introduce central anthropological thinking ranging from questions of politics and globalization to media, arts, and health.
