Aims, contents and method of the course

Social movements became a topic of anthropological research in the early 1990s; in today’s world, and considering the creative application of ICT tools for creating agency, the theme definitely is of major interest. The seminar will deal with the theme both regarding theoretical considerations, as well as regarding concrete examples - which will be decided at the seminar’s first session.
Main Methods
d) Training in scholarly debating;
e) Writing scholarly papers;
f) Forms of presentation.

Assessment and permitted materials

- Active participation in discussions: 30%
- Final presentation: 20%
- Final Paper 50%

Final Paper: 50%
1) Production of a Paper (3.000 to 4.000 words per student, incl. footnotes and bibliography
2) Literature work: 30%
3) Structure: 35%
4) Argument: 35%

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

c) Max. missing 1 time;
d) STRICTLY NO missing during final presentations
e) Each of the activities (active participation; final paper and final presentation) have to be accomplished in a positive way.
