Assessment and permitted materials
The performance assessment is not an end in itself, but is inextricably linked to the didactic methods of the course.
1. Each student makes a presentation once a semester (duration: maximum 15- 20 Minutes minutes), making a summary of one article agreed in advance; the articles presented should preferably be those that are uploaded to the Moodle platform in the individual units.
2. All students should read the same compulsory-reading article in advance for each unit (so there will be a total of 5 compulsory-reading articles for all). The groups set up for each unit (4-5 students) will prepare three questions for everyone on the compulsory article
3. In the second half of the semester, each student writes a longer final paper (approx. 15,000 to 20,000 characters), which must focus on a different topic than the presentations. This is intended to ensure that the student participants are not only familiar with one single aspect of the semester topic. The paper must meet academic requirements in substance and in formal terms.
4. Attendance is compulsory in all units (6 units!): In principle, one can be absent from one of the units without an excuse, but - for organizational reasons - not from the first one. Participants are expected to actively participate in the units through discussion contributions, short written tasks and the like

Furthermore, the question will be raised whether "indigeneity" fits into conventional cultural identity politics and is not rather a response to postcolonial political discrimination.
