Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is geared for students that are in search of a topic for their master thesis, as well as for students that have found a topic and want to substantiate or revise it. The work on the research question and the research proposal stands at the heart of the course. Thereby, the current status of work of the single participants will form the basis on which to work. Constructed as an interactive workshop, the course combines intensive peer-feedback with individual support by the lecturer. Special support will be provided concerning the definition of a practicable research topic and its correspondence with research topics of possible supervisors. Finally, the workshop should offer an informal setting to debate questions on organizational, formal and methodological matters concerning the master thesis. The course addresses students writing their thesis in English or German.
