Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Fundamental concepts of linear algebra, like vector spaces, linear maps, bases and the notion of dimension. Their concrete relazations by matrices and systems of linear equations. Connections to elementary geometry.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Knowing the basic concepts and methods of linear algebra, which are used in (almost) all parts of mathematics and being able to apply them. Understanding the basics of the algebraic way of thinking and of the relation between general abstract concepts and their concrete realisations.
