Aims, contents and method of the course

arithmetic of R^n and matrices, inner product, norm; systems of linear equations, Gaussian elimination, general vector spaces with K^n as principal example; subspaces, linear independence, linear span, basis, dimension, isomorphy of V and K^n; linear maps and matrices, image, kernel and rank theorem, change of basis, elementary matrix manipulations, rank, inversion of matrices
