Aims, contents and method of the course
Concepts and notions of linear algebra are fundamental in almost all mathematical areas. The course gives an introduction into the subject. The content covers finite-dimensional vector spaces, linear mappings, matrices and determinants. The presentation of the material is based on an axiomatic approach. Numerous examples as well as geometric questions will illustrate the general notions and results.
