Aims, contents and method of the course
Content: In this course students (in groups or individually, depending on the number of participants) shall summarize and eventually supplement articles in recent educational journals and talks from several mathematics education conferences, and give a presentation about these materials. These presentations can be given in German or in English. If possible, online guest lectures will supplement the seminar program.Aims: Getting to know current developments in mathematics education, assessing and improving one's own presentation, being able to give objective and constructive feedback to the presentations.Methods: group work, presentation, discussion
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment is based on the presentation, the uploaded summary, and the regular active participation.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirements for a positive assessment:
*) Giving a 60-minute presentation in groups or individually
*) Uploading a written summary of the presentation in Moodle until 30.6.2022
*) Regular active attendance and participation at the feedback and discussion sessionsAssessment criteria:
*) presentation (65 %)
*) written version of summary (15 %)
*) regular participation in discussions (20 %)

Examination topics
Preparation and presentation of a seminar lecture, based on specified literature (eventually to be supplemented by the students); discussion, reflection and feedback about content and performance of the presentation
