Aims, contents and method of the course
Based on concrete exercises to calculate something we want to deepen our competence in teaching arithmetics and algebra in school. The treated themes will be closely connected to the contents of the lecture above, of course. Nevertheless, mathematics can only be understood by self-doing. The tutorial is designed for this sense.
Assessment and permitted materials
Evaluation of the presentations (at least two) and of other collaboration or dedications. This means also an obligatory check of the students' presence and the ticking (at least two thirds) of prepared solutions of the weekly stated items. For the assessment the presentations have the main weight, the other components decide in the case that the performance is not definitly relatable.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Preparation for a competent and reflective planning of arithmetic and algebraic topics of school mathematics at secondary level one and two.
Examination topics
The content of the related lecture should be deepened functionally and reflected didactically by discussing concrete exercises. The results of the solved exercises will be presented by the students at the blackboard.

ATTENTION! If you want to take part in this course, you have to register for it from August 31 to September 13 in UNIVIS! Without registration you can not participate in this course! The order of registration is not important for acceptance into the course. Should there be more applicants than available places, the places will be assigned randomly. Students who have officially finished the first part of the mathematics teaching curriculum will have preference! Non-accepted students will be put on a waiting list. For details see http://ssc-mathematik.univie.ac.at/betreute-studien/diplomstudium-unterrichtsfach-mathematik-auslaufend-kein-neueinstieg-moeglich/anmeldemodus-zu-lehrveranstaltungen/ . If an accepted student does not appear at the preparatory meeting, he/she will be deleted from the list of participants, and the free spaces will given to the attending students from the waiting list, so it is important that you come to the preparatory meeting on time! (Tuesday October 6, 2015, 13:30, Seminar room 9, Oskar-Morgenstern-Platz 1, 2nd floor)!

Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course we will solve and discuss concrete tasks in arithmetic and algebra on secondary school level.
Assessment and permitted materials
The assessment is comprised of:
*) number of prepared tasks (to be ticked off in Moodle)
*) Presentation of task solutions on the board
*) Active participation in the discussion of solutions
The exact assessment criteria will be announced at the preparatory meeting and will be available in Moodle.

The exact assessment criteria will be announced at the preparatory meeting and will be available in Moodle.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
By means of self-executed tasks and discussion of the solutions the students should gain insights into fundamental ideas, concepts and methods of school mathematics in the area arithmetic and algebra.
Examination topics
Presentation of solutions of tasks by students in a classroom-suitable form, discussion.

Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
