Aims, contents and method of the course
exterior differential systems, Pfaffian systems, geometric reformulation of partial differential equations via jets, tableaux and Cartan's test, various versions of the Cartan-Kähler theorem

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The geometric approach to PDEs and their formulation via jets and exterior differential systems. Cartan's test as an algorithmic way to decide solvability and various versions of the Cartan-Kähler theorem on solvability.
