Aims, contents and method of the course

We want to discuss the book "Elements of understanding and structural clarity. Didactical quality of the instruction of mathematical understanding processes in the classroom" by Drollinger-Vetter, Barbara in this seminar. The main points are to identify theoretically the multifarious facets of the process of understanding and to evaluate them in mathematics education.
Oral presentation and reflexion in the group.

Assessment and permitted materials

Presentation: content and performance; collaboration (including presence).
The talk determines mainly the assessment. If the result is not clear, the participation in the discussion of presentations of other students will be used.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

To get to know mathematics education as a research discipline and learning to derive practical use for the future teaching from theoretical concepts.

Methods: group work, presentation, discussion

Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on the presentation, the uploaded summary, and the regular active participation.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Information

Examination topics

The participants present appropriate contributions of didactical literature. In case of a small number of participants it will be possible to prepare parts of the presentation during the seminar. So I immediately could give feedback to the students .
