Assessment and permitted materials

The assessment is based on the overall grade of the two best exercise tests, the assessment of the blackboard presentations and the number of tasks ticked. For a positive overall assessment, a positive assessment must be achieved in each sub-area:

o A blackboard presentation can be assessed with plus (+), wave (~) or minus (-). The blackboard grade corresponds to the average assessment of the two best blackboard presentations. For a positive blackboard mark, at least two presentations must be made on the blackboard and at least one presentation must be assessed with a wave or a plus.

o The cross mark corresponds to the proportion of crossed tasks. For a positive cross mark, this proportion must be ? 50%.

o The test grade corresponds to the average score of the two best practice tests. For a positive test grade, this averaged score must be ? 50%.

If the requirements for a positive assessment are met in each of the above sub-areas, the overall grade is calculated as the weighted average of the sub-performances. The test grade accounts for 50%, the blackboard grade for 30% and the cross mark for 20% of the overall assessment.

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

During the exercise unit, the tasks of an exercise sheet are worked on together and discussed on the blackboard.
The exercise sheet that is worked on in a unit is available on Moodle at least one week before the corresponding unit.
The tasks that have been completed must be ticked 30 minutes before the start of an exercise unit. The sub-item 'tick list' will be available on Moodle for this purpose.
In addition, there will be three 30-minute practice tests (19 April, 17 May, 21 June). In the week before a practice test, there will be fewer tasks to complete than usual.
Attendance is compulsory during the training session. Participants who are absent from the exercise unit more than twice without being excused will be assessed negatively.

Unexcused absences in the first unit will result in deregistration from the course.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

o <50%: Not sufficient (5)

o 50% - 62.5%: Sufficient (4)

o 62.5% - 75%: Satisfactory (3)

o 75% - 87.5%: Good (2)

o 87.5% - 100%: Very good (1)

Active participation in the exercise or the presentation of bonus tasks can improve the grade. This means that for active students whose final grade is between two grades, the decision is made in their favour.

Examination topics
