This course is, after Introduction to Linear Algebra and Geometry,
the second part of this lecture series. Topics will include determinants, polynomials, eigenvalues, eigenspaces and characteristic polynomial, diagonalisation and triangulation of matrices and linear maps, the Jordan normal form of matrices over the complex numbers, Euclidian and unitary vector spaces, and the study of orthogonal, unitary, symmetric operators.
