Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Diese Vorlesung bietet eine Einführung in die Theorie der stochastischen
Prozesse, die als Voraussetzung nur elementare Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie, also keine Maßtheorie, erfordert. Behandelt
werden Irrfahrten (als Einführung), sodann Verzweigungsprozesse,
Markovketten- und Markovprozesse und, als Abschluss, Diffusionsprozesse. Besonderes Augenmerk wird dabei auf Anwendungen in der Biologie, besonders der Genetik, gelegt, da solche Methoden in der Biomathematik, der Bioinformatik und der modernen Genetik von größter Bedeutung sind.
