Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Spectral theorems for bounded and unbounded self-adjoint operators. Locally convex vector spaces (including a very brief introduction to the theory distributions).

The course will be based on parts of chapters VII and VIII of Dirk Werner’s
excellent textbook---the book is in German, but my notes will be in English.

Assessment and permitted materials

oral exam, approx. 45 minutes

reproducing the notions, results, and proofs presented on the blackboard during the lectures (at least in a mathematically equivalent way)
