Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Topics includes the following areas of mathematical research: generalized functions and distribution theory, time-frequency methods, partial differential
equations, microlocal analysis and regularity theory,
pseudodifferential operators, sampling theory.

Assessment and permitted materials

For successful completion of the seminar the participants are required either to give a presentation in the seminar or to demonstrate sufficient progress of their Ph.D. thesis.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

This weekly seminar is devoted to current research related to the
Initiativkolleg on Modern Mathematical Analysis and Applications - Time-frequency analysis and microlocal analysis http://www.univie.ac.at/nuhag-php/ik/.
The schedule will alternate between biweekly talks of the IK-participants and intensive discussion and advising.
