Aims, contents and method of the course
distributions and integrability, symplectic structures and contact structures, relations to classical mechanics and the geometric theory of differential equations, Riemann and pseudo-Riemann geometry, Levi-Civita connection, the Riemann curvature tensor and its components, geodesics and completeness, the method of moving frames
