Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

"Linear Algebra" is - together with "Analysis" - one of the two corner stones of large parts of mathematics (and of the further studies in mathematics), but also an indispensible tool in other sciences. Analytic Geometry and Solving Systems of Equations are occurrences of Linear Algebra in high school mathematics. The topics that are covered in the course are: vectors in R2 and R3, vector spaces, linear mappings and matrices, systems of linear equations, dual space, quotient spaces, determinants.

Introduction to a basic area of mathematics. Learn the ways of mathematical thinking.

"Linear Algebra" von Gerd Fischer (Vieweg) verwenden.
