Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
How should vaccine be optimally applied in order to control an epidemic, production rate of vaccine being limited? What should the trajectory of a rocket be in order to transport a maximal payload to the moon (fuel and acceleration being limited)? Suppose, you know the sketch of a labyrinth and are requested to transport a bar from A to B (speed being limited). What way should you take? (Prototype for a sort a problems arising in robotics.) -- All those questions are dealt with in control theory which, intriguingly, has close connections to an area seeming completley unrelated (classical point mechanics). The lecture intends to introduce to that area in an undogmatic way.
