Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This lecture is a first introduction into didactical thinking and doing. Among others the following topics are dealt with: sense and nonsense in mathematics education, transfer model of learning versus constructivistic learning, genetic instruction, basic images behind mathematical contents, representation and interpretation, justifications, argumentations, proofs, heuristics. The range reaches from didactical background considerations (including reports on empirical investigations) to concrete proposals for teaching. All topics will be illustrated by numerous examples from mathematics instruction. In particular the new form of the central final examination ("Zentralmatura") is focused on.
