Aims, contents and method of the course

Als Grundlage für das Seminar "Analysis" soll das Buch "Measure and Category" von J.C. Oxtoby (second edition, Springer 1980) dienen. Es ist erwünscht, wenn sich InteressentInnen bis zu Seminarbeginn einen Überblick zum Inhalt des Buches aneignen. Inhaltlich werden Analogien zwischen Maß und (Baire)-Kategorie in den reellen Zahlen beleuchtet. Der Text setzt keine besonderen Vorkenntnisse voraus, ein grundlegendes Vorwissen in Maßtheorie und Topologie ist aber sicher von Vorteil.
