Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course we will discuss the book "Entdeckendes Lernen im Mathematikunterricht" by Heinrich Winter, Vieweg, Braunschweig/Wiesbaden 1989. It becomes nowadays a classic of German didactical literature. Its subtitle is "Einblicke in die Pädagogik", this describes roughly also the content of the book. And when Klaus Kastberger, a specialist in german studies, complains: "Als ein absichtsvoll zusammengebündelter Slang lässt sich die Sprache des Coaching, Controlling und Monitoring insofern verstehen, als sie im Sinne eines umfassenden Assessments zu einer Dauerbeurteilung von allem und jedem führt. Nur für eines hat die Sprache des Wissensmanagements keinen Begriff: Für jene denkerischen Freiräume, die bislang als essentiell galten.", then this seminar should focus the essential of (mathematics) education (concerning a certian point of view) apart from the recent mainstream in politics of education and pedagogics: what could be learned and taught in what way and why? --- These are more or less the basic questions of didactical thinking and researching.

Getting to know a certain point of view to argue (goals, methods and basic philosophies of) mathematics education.

Lectures given by students, alone or in pairs.
